SHARE:

Today, Thursday 10th October marks World Mental Health Day and this years theme is Mental Health in the Workplace.

In our fast-paced world, more and more people are experiencing severe stress and subsequent burnout at work. This stress and burnout doesn’t happen overnight it’s gradual and can take over your life before you're even aware of it.

Everyone is susceptible to stress in the workplace and stress in general, though the likelihood of experiencing such feelings be even greater for those with caring responsibilities. We know just how challenging caring can be at the best of times and this, combined with stress at work could lead to burnout. You can find out more about World Mental Health Day here.

Stress as a Carer

Burnout doesn’t just affect an individual's wellbeing, but can also effect family, friends and it also has far-reaching consequences for employers too. For carers, stress at work can inhibit their ability to care and without the right support, 1 in 6 carers give up work or reduce working hours to care, which in itself can cause financial issues.

We're here to support all unpaid carers so make sure you register with us, join us at our sessions and receive expert support from our dedicated team.

If you're an unpaid carer, struggling to juggle work and care, you're also entitled to support from our team. From advice and support to information regarding your rights at work, we've got your back.
